Unless you’ve experienced a cancer diagnosis firsthand, it’s difficult to understand the burden it brings. Surviving cancer goes beyond finishing treatments. It’s more than ditching follow-up blood tests, reducing doctor’s appointments, or having no more scans. It's about having hope of living a full and positive life despite their condition.
When you contribute to Epic Experience, you give cancer survivors hope. You make a direct impact on their lives by empowering them to live better—mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Help Epic Experience Offer Empowerment and Hope
If you're looking for cancer organizations to donate to, please consider Epic Experience. We engage individuals whose lives have been affected by cancer and encourage them to live beyond their diagnosis.
Your contribution provides a free weeklong trip to cancer survivors. Epic Experience camps give attendees an outdoor adventure, to inspire a happier and more empowered way of living.
We are recognized widely by other cancer organizations and support groups, such as Stupid Cancer. We are humbled to have been given the Stupid Cancer’s Advocacy Award and Stupid Cancer’s Get Busy Living Award.
Your Help Goes a Long Way
Your help gives campers a safe and comfortable place to stay for the entire week. It provides them with adventure therapy that is essential to their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. But it doesn't stop there.
Our commitment is to deliver an experience that is true to our name. The mountain views are incredible, the cabins are cozy and quaint, and the memories made with other campers and volunteers are unforgettable. Your contributions will help create fun, empowering experiences and connect campers with fellow survivors with whom they can forge strong bonds that last well beyond camp.
In addition to adventures like white-water kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding, attendees participate in activities that allow them to form valuable emotional connections that they may have missed during their struggle with cancer.
For some survivors, cancer is something they have held pretty close. Many choose to keep to themselves for fear of receiving well-meaning yet unwanted comments. Sometimes, survivors hold back emotions and conversation to protect caregivers and loved ones from the weight of their illness.
However, within a community of individuals who share the same experiences, "thrivers" have the opportunity to share, open up, and make valuable connections.
Ways to Donate
There are many ways to donate to Epic Experience. You may make a one-time donation of $500, $100, $50, $25, or any other amount, or you may commit to contributing a fixed amount every month.
We will ask you for some basic information, but you also have the option to donate anonymously. You may make your donation in honor or memory of someone close to your heart.
Cancer leaves patients with long-lasting effects, both physically and psychologically. Feelings of isolation, depression, and negative body image are just some of the lasting effects. But through generous donations like yours, we can work together to make a difference in the lives of adult cancer survivors.
