Kayaking in Boston, MA

Event Date: Sept 17, 2023
Event Time: 2:00-4:00 pm ET
Event Address: Newton Historic Boathouse
2401 Commonwealth Ave, Newton, MA 02466

About the Event:

Join a group of cancer survivors, thrivers, caregivers, and advocates for our regional day kayaking in Boston! We’ll be meeting at the Newton Historic Boat House and spending the day on the Charles River.

Exploring nature in a kayak is a healthy and fun way to enjoy the outdoors. The day begins with a brief introduction and preparation/safety chat. You’ll be outfitted with a personal flotation device (PFD), kayak and paddling equipment, giving you insight on the best ways to set up your boat and instruction on a variety of paddling techniques.

After you feel comfortable on the water, you’ll set out in a kayak with the group. You’ll experience the freedom of skimming across the water and seeing the beautiful wildlife in the area.

After being on the water, we’ll gather as a group for light snacks and refreshment as we discuss life and cancer survivorship.
